Parking and buses

Parking is not plentiful in Old Aberdeen, but most streets have space available for visitors, mostly pay-and-display which operates from 10am to 4pm. You can pay with cash at a ticket machine, or download onto your phone the PayByPhone app to pay electronically.

Buses run on route 20 though the middle of Old Aberdeen, while there are more frequent buses along Bedford Road and Tillydrone Avenue to the immediate west, and several routes run along King Street to the immediate east of Old Aberdeen.
For information on routes and timetables go to the FirstBus website:
https://www.firstgroup.com/aberdeen where you can find bus route maps and timetables.
You can download a FirstBus app from Google or Apple store which will provide realtime bus information and you can either pay cash for your ticket with the driver (exact change required), or contact-less using a credit card, or the FirstBus app can also be used to pay.
